Have The Following Gourds Infected Your Church?- Part Two

Psychology is gaining important ground in the church with little or no opposition to it because those that have done so have "Christianized" it. They have added their own language to familiar concepts that no longer remain familiar to Bible believers. "The words of the prophets declare good things unto the king with one mouth; Let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them and speak that which is good"- 1 Kings 22:13. However, a true prophet of God by the name of Micaiah said something "good" to the people. "As the Lord lives, whatever the Lord says to me, That I will speak"- 1 Kings 22:14. Since every word of God is pure how can we place a negative slant on any of God's holy word?

God told His prophet in Jeremiah 26:2- "Do not diminish a word". In the Hebrew language that means to not clip out anything that God tells you to say. Today we not only diminish some of His words, we eliminate them all together. "Every man's word will be his own oracle, for you have PERVERTED the words of the living God"- Jeremiah 23:36. There is still poison in the pot and few to discern that poison and the resulting poisonous doctrine that kills the truth of God's word.

How much poison is needed to contaminate the word of God? Just a few drops will kill you and there have been more than just a few drops added to Bible doctrine over the decades. How many Christians really know what's in the Bible? How can we witness about our faith when we are grossly ignorant about the Bible? "They have a zeal of God but not according to knowledge"- Romans 10:2. How can we blindly accept the words of heresy without the will or the courage to stand up against that with the truth of the gospel? Yes, there's poison in a great many denominational pots and few out there to discern it!
