New Lighthouse Trails Article

Here is a great article from the folks at Lighthouse Trail Research site. We have seen Zondervan and Youth Specialties sliding down that slippery slope for awhile now promoting occult New Age practices like Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer.
That slide is picking up speed.
Keep in mind these are the folks who target our youth and the youth pastors that lead our children.
Here is the article

http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/youthspecialties.htm

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine Bud taught me the three R's.
Not reading, writing, and arithmetic but retract, repent and renounce.
Youth specialties needs to do this.
They need to stop promoting the occult practice of Lectio Divina, centering prayer and contemplative prayer and make this right with all the folks on their mailing list.
Then they need to gather up all the materials they have on this and read Acts 19:19 and act upon it. Refunding everyone's money who bought into this lie.
I have heard the old statement "Lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater."
If your baby was in a bath with a snake how fast would you pull that baby out?
And never put the child in that tub again.
I'm not promoting having stinky babies.
But babies that are washed in the pure Word and biblical standards of the Bible.
Again don't just take my word for it tests the spirits for yourself and see if they are from God.
Do research on what is being taught to your kids and for crying out loud go to the events your kids are going to at church.
Don't just drop them off.
And if your kids are being taught how to read and study the Bible and how to pray according to the standards of scripture go give your youth pastor a big hug and mess up their spiky hair.
Be an encourager but also rebuke in love when the time comes for that.
But don't just take anything for granted these days.
Young children are very impressionable and things that are taught to them will stick with them sometimes for life.
Make sure what is taught to them is of God.
