Former drummer for Gary Lewis and The Playboys and The Coasters. Tim has also played with Paul Baloche, Lincoln Brewster, Darlene Zscech and Hillsongs, Jeff Fenholt, SteveCamp among others. Tim founded The Simply Agape Project in 2001 to get free Christian music to the troops. The State of the Church

I would add to this though, a number of people are not currently attending church for a number of reasons other than being unregenerate.
1. Good churches that preach the Word are getting harder to find.

2. Guys like Rick Warren and Bill Hybels among others have been pawns of the devil in effectively bringing the world into the church. What's the point in attending a church that looks just like the world we are trying to escape from.
And unsaved people get bored quickly, that's why we also see the current trend of things getting worse in church instead of better.

3. Contemplative prayer,Lectio Divina, centering prayer and other New Age occult methods being taught in church. And this isn't just for the Emergent crowd either . This occult form of a quicky fix of God is now being promoted in main stream churches often masquerading as multi sensory worship and is being marketed to your children.

Experience driven just like Word Faith churches.

So when the experience goes people think God is no longer there.

When in truth He wasn't even there in the first place.

4. Swearing allowed and encouraged in church. Read the article I posted the f bomb being dropped in church. This is a thing with the unregenerate emergent crowd. They have even tried to justify it in scripture. This is a no brainer to me and it really hurts Christ and tears down His church. Plus you had better hope I'm not in the crowd. I WILL MARCH YOU WILLINGLY OR UNWILLINGLY INTO THE BATHROOM AND WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP. YOU CAN BET THE BANK ON THAT.

So what do we do?
Study the word of God together as a home group.
Take a collection for the poor in your community as well as those in need in your group.
Stop supporting the mega business's we now call churches with pastors who seldom preach in house but have extensive vacation time and tour the world for their own glory.
Just say No.
But say yes to starting local fellowships with other hurting believers.
