Just a Question? The End Times- Great Revival or A Greater Falling Away?
Most would agree with me.
And look at whats being marketed and sold throughout Christianity.
The Left Behind series.
A mythical scenario about how saved Christians get swept off the planet before the anti-christ makes the scene.
Mythical because you cant read Matt 24 and say we will get out before tribulation happens.
Will we avoid Gods wrath?
Surely.
1 Thess 1:10-
"and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come."
(meaning we escape God's wrath)
The enemies wrath?
Well go read Matt 24 and figure that one out.
Left behind games end of the world movies from both Christian and secular sources.
I said that to make this point.
Haa anyone heard any preaching on the great falling away?
Any?
2 Thess 2:3
"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,"
Now Ive heard talk of great revival.
Cant find that referred to in the end times.
My Bible says things get worse.
So the question is why dont you think there is any preaching speaking about the great falling away mentioned above?
I would gladly post links to preaching on this subject
Blessings
Tim

Tim,
More than a question, this maybe the reality of the "true" contemporary church. Apathy is at an all time high across the ages. God is not as important, as interesting, or even as needful to many people in the world today. We are reaping even more apathetic children without a fear or fervency. When I read the scriptures specifically 2 Timothy and Titus (although not prophetic, still relevant) I find perhaps the biggest and most oft attended "fellowship" will be the one where the truth has been exhanged for a feel good. The parable of Luke 8 says 'the farmer sowed good seed'. I believe in these last days it will be the cheap and filling "seed" that will draw the "itching ears" and this it will do in large amounts. So, sorry folks numbers aren't going to be the measuring stick of "discipleship". More over, affliction maybe a better sign to find a faithful fellowship of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thanks for the blog.
