Living In A Bubble
A big danger that has always prevailed in Christianity is compromise.
Im not talking about what the color of the church carpet is but when we choose to ignore what scripture teaches.
Every time we ignore scripture we are headed for trouble.
Out of the many things we have compromised one is allowing divorced men to pastor.
Another compromise is to let women pastor.
And now we have situations currently in which divorced women will now continue to pastor.
Read 1 Timothy 3 if there is any confusion on how God wants to qualify leaders in the church.
Now since mega churches are nothing more than mega business pastors have effectively put themselves inside a bubble accountable to no one.
And when a pastor states he is only accountable to God watch out because trouble will come.
Of course big names pastor (who I think sometimes we elevate to a cult of personality) will deny this and point to their boards and deacons etc..
In my experience in playing in some TBN and several mega churches the pastors often hand pick who they are accountable to.
Most of the time its a group of yes men.
Because thats the way big biz is run.
This puts the pastor is a very bad position.
We all make mistakes and errors but if we dont recant, confesss, and repent of them they will come back to haunt us.
Its also interesting to note that the early church was governed by groups of elders not a single men.
There also were no female pastors as well.
We are really doing many good men of God a tremendous injustice by not holding them responsible for error.
But the biggest problem is many pastors are just living in a Bubble which they have blown up for themselves.

Re:Rick Warren.I totally agree. The man is a heretic.I would and do go so far as to call him a jezebel.
My husband got sucked into his celebrate recovery garbage. Its basically nothing more than AA repackaged. He does a great job of twisting scripture to fit unbiblical concepts. The scripture he uses to justify the steps are laughable. Its weak at best.He took a scripture about friendship to justify sponsorship.I shake my head at the number of churches getting sucked in.
