The fruit of seeker sensitive
When Rick Warren set out to do Christianity his way for his purposes he consulted with the unsaved, not the Bible on how to start a church.
This makes the root evil.
Everything it bears will be evil.
I really don't see how other cant see this.
Maybe its because of this.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
Does Rick Warren know the truth?
I believe he does.
Warren just chooses not to preach it-or picks and chooses when to preach it.
That makes Rick Warrens purpose all the more evil and deceptive.
Rick plays to the crowd because Rick wants the fame and Rick wants a following.
And Warren has created a huge following deceiving possibly even the elect.
This letter I found at WND rings true to Ricks and other seeker sensitive preachers fruit.
Latte-drinking churchgoers lost in sin

These things that you are discovering about Rick Warren are not a surprise to me. I have read his books, and I have attended his "purpose-driven churches."
Believe me, their purpose is obvious. The sermons are scripted. Actually, they are purchased for the entertainment of the "I'd-rather-be-at-the-mall" suburbia-crowd. You can see for yourself on either the Purpose Driven Life or the Willow Creek Association website. They are partners.
We had one at the church in October 2005 entitled, "What me, a priest?" The minister comes out dressed in a Superman costume, and goes through his routine talking about how he isn't expected to "do everything" in the church  then slowly peels off his clothes, cape and tights in front of the crowd. You can watch a Willow Creek pastor do the exact same thing if you watch the video on their website.
We no longer attend this church. There is no humility in the crowd. They come, get entertained for an hour, speak to no one, drink their Starbucks latte, and then go get into their Mercedes and go back to their life of sin.
There is never talk of sin debt or a call for repentance. That would make them uncomfortable, and that is not the PURPOSE of this church. My point to this e-mail is that this movement smells a lot to me like the Church of Laodicea that Jesus talks about in Revelation. He says that it will have false teachings that will "fool many." The rise of the Antichrist will pull the majority in. This church Jesus will vomit out. The true believers in Christ (the true church named the Baptists by their enemies for baptizing only self-proclaiming believers in Christ) will be the minority. They have been and will be persecuted throughout history. They will stand with Israel. They will not falter in His Word. They will die for Him.
The path to heaven is narrow. It is not popular to believe and follow Christ. Rick Warren has started a movement that is popular and growing by leaps and bounds.
I knew what was going on in Warren's churches was wrong, but it didn't quite click, until I saw him with Bono last August at The Leadership Summit promoting Rick Warren's Five Point P.E.A.C.E. plan, and Bono's ONE.org organization that I really started to piece it together. Do you know about the P.E.A.C.E. plan? Saving the environment, ending poverty, finding a cure for AIDS. Have you ever heard Rick Warren or Bono talk about abstinence or monogamous marriage at the AIDS events? Pastor Warren should be the loudest advocate! Why is "America's pastor" out there looking for government help when it should be the church taking care of the people?
The real point that I want to make about this is that the Bible does not say that "the church" will save the world from anything. Only Jesus Christ and a relationship with Him will bring you any peace and take you from this world to your heavenly home with the Lord. I am not calling Rick Warren the Antichrist, but this movement that he has started surely has the makings of the one mentioned in the Bible. And with all the Bible prophecies that have already been fulfilled with regard to Israel and its regathering, etc. right here in the 20th century, I don't see why we wouldn't think that the end may be nearer than we think.
