Just a question

The picture above was from my book "Pass The Prey and Let Us Prey-My Search for Black and White Christianity in a Gray Nation."
It was draw cartoons (and pose as Francis Schaffer)n by the ever talented C. McNair Wilson who used to draw for The Wittenburg Door magazine.
Maybe its just me but has anyone else noticed that there is a lot of teaching about Jesus returning.

Which of course I know He will.

But there is not a lot of teaching(if any) going on anymore about the great falling away.

Teaching that should be taught to caution believers.

There is a lot being taught on Christian making some sort of great escape before any tribulation starts. The left Behind books etc..

Now I do believe the Lord Jesus is coming back for us and we will meet Him in the air because thats what the Bible teaches.

1 Thess 4:17

"Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

I also believe that we will not be here for Gods wrath on the earth in the end times because that is what the Bible teaches.

1Thess 1:10

"and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

1 Thess 5:9

"For God did not destine us for wrath but for gaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ."

The wrath mentioned here is Gods wrath not the enemy satan.

There is a big misconception taught in the church on whose wrath comes down in the endtimes and in what order.

Satans wrath comes down on the church and he is allowed some victory.

Rev 13:7

"It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation."

Also pretrib folks need to read Matt 24 and really come to terms on what Jesus said about the endtimes.

All that being said why is so much being taught on a easy get away and nothing (seemingly) being taught on a great falling away?

There will come a point in the endtimes where people who say they are Christians will pass a point that is a point of no return.

2 Thess 2:11-12

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Take a long hard look at who sends the delusion.

Some translations use the term evil in place of the word unrighteousness.

That inclused pagan practices like the labyrinth promoted by leaders like Dan Kimball.

And Centering prayer or using a sacred word to pray thats being promoted by a huge majority in the church.

The numbers promoting this unbiblical practice are frightening.

In conclusion check and see whats being preached now in the pulpits.

Get rich now because your a Christian and get it all on earth as well as heaven (Joel Osteen and most Word Faith teachers).

Teaching and preaching on occult practices by the likes of Dan Kimball, Emergent Church, Beth Moore and a host of others.

Lets solve the worlds problems (Rick Warren).

The above however does not mean we dont feed the poor and clothe the naked as the church has been actively doing (without the applause of the world) since the book of Acts.

No Rick your wrong the churches hands and feet havent been cut off as you have stated.

Thats a lie.

The church has just done these duties without seeking the gratitude of the world as you do.

Its not about you Rick Warren.

So we can see that the majority of what is being taught is not even what the Bible teaches.

Its been replaced by man centered teachings.

2Tim 4:3-4

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

The Bible offers us many warnings of what would happen in the endtimes.

Most Christians would agree that we are in the endtimes.

Is the great falling away being preached in your church?
