The latest madness from Richard Abanes or The Mythical World of Richard Abanes Part 2
Folks I have come to the conclusion Richard Abanes is not even a rational human being let alone a discerning Christian.
Here is a post I saw of Richards that I responded to.
The latest madness from Abanes

I found this new quote from Richard on another blog and could not help but respond with scripture.
There is something seriously wrong with Richard Abanes folks. Here is Richards quote and my comments.
Richard Abanes says “Some things are crystal clear in scripture and should be, indeed MUST be, held without compromise. Other things, meh, who cares. Certainly not God. And then there are those things that are neither technically commanded, nor technically forbidden — but they fall under what is wise, common sense, considerate, responsible, loving, and sacrificial.”
My comments
But the Bible states in 2 Tim 3:16-17 “16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Note the key word “All”
Yes folks God does care.
Richard Abanes certainly cannot and does not speak for God most of all when it conflicts with what God has written.

After I wrote this I also thought who decides what is crystal clear in scripture?
Richard Abanes?
You want Richard Abanes to be that guide?
Heck he needs 6-8 weeks to decide if Ken Blanchard is indeed still endorsing new age books.
If he cant figure out the obvious I would not look to the way Richard discerns scripture.
Because it is obvious Richard does not know Gods Word.

Tim,
Great points. What is sad is Mr. Abanes does not know the role that Entropy plays in in our fallen world. Entropy is the universal law that pervades all of the fallen world and material universe. Entropy entered God's Creation when Adam and Eve fell and sin entered the world.
Romans 8:19-22:
"For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now."
Entropic principles govern genetics, societies, group dynamics, and even church denominations! Entropy increases over time in all of the above.
The Bible addresses Entropy, And the passage you quoted stresses why it is important to hold firmly to God's Word. Because it is eternal and unchanging and is not governed by entropic principles.
2 Tim 3:16-17
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
What men like Mr. Abanes are doing is increasing the corruption of God's Clear words and commands. And therefore being an unwitting partner in Satan's plans to increase entropy (discorder and decay) in the world.!
The end result of Entropy is complete disorder!
The book of Revelations clearly shows the increase of entropy in our fallen world and where it will lead! But God's Word shows us, Praise him! That he will return just before Satan can anhiliate God's Creation!
So we have a choice. We can hold to God's clear word OR we can become unwitting accomplices to Satan!
I choose to hold to God's Word! It is clear that Mr. Abanes chooses to be an unwitting stooge of Satan!
ah so when paul was writing his letter to timothy you are saying he considered what he was writing to be scripture, in the sense that isaiah is scripture?
doubt it.
of course it could be argued that most of the authors of any book of our current canonical texts didn't realize they would be looked as verbatim scripture. in the instances where a prophets and precedes it with "And the LORD said", yeah that to me seems like it would qualify scripture.
but who knows, maybe all the women in your church cover their heads to pray, and men always lift up their hands in prayer, like literally, cause thats scripture too right?
and of course when you look at something like from Deuteronomy 25, it makes sense to cut off someones hand for them trying to help you from being killed. so youre telling me you would allow your wifes hand to be cut off if she tried to protect you from someone?
anyhow not trying to start a fight, more of a discussion.
disclaimer: i don't take either side.

I say:
Bucky did you completely miss the comment about ENTROPY?
That alone is why people should reject tradition and any "New truth" !
In a fallen world where entropy increases and fallen man is a major contributor to entropy through tradition and "New truth" We should always stay with "First Principles" and this was the context of what the Apostle Paul was speaking of within 2 Timothy 3:16-17. The Apostle Paul knew the heart of falen man, and that fallen man would always work to exhalt himself by putting new meanings to God's Word.
The Apostle Paul never departed from God's Word. His God's Word was the Old Testament, and Paul in his writings remained true to God's Word.
