Whoever Abides NOT in the Doctrine of Christ- Part Three

Mary Baker Eddy on her deathbed told close friend Adam Dickey to tell her followers that she had been mentally murdered by her enemies. She was somewhat correct in that she was "mental". 2 John 1:7- For MANY deceivers have entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist". That warning would apply to Mark Baker Eddy of the Christian Science faith. They flatly deny the resurrection and the biblical fact that Jesus Christ had come in the flesh (John 1:1,14).

Christ warned of those that preached against the Doctrine of the Resurrection which included the Sadducces (Matthew 22:23). What Christ warned against the Christian Science faith believes. In plain fact, Christian Science believes in a form of reincarnation known to them as progression. As such, they transgress the Doctrine of Christ.

Just what is this Doctrine of Christ is something you may well be asking yourself by this time. Much of Christiandom is missing this doctrine. They seem to have an easy going faith that allows them to life their life as the unsaved world does. 2 John 1:6- "This is love, that we walk after His commandments". In the event that you might have missed it, the word commandments is in the plural form. "If you love Me, keep My commandments"- John 14:15. By connecting the dots between those two verses one can discern that they both contain the word love and commandments. How are we to discern what those commandments are?

Could it be that the commandments in question are that we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and that we should love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39)? "On these TWO commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets"- Matthew 22:40.
