Modesty in the church

This is a issue that many churches face these days. Or should I say don't face. I have never seen a time when women dressed so immodestly in the church. It's difficult sometimes if I am up playing to even glance out and not catch a eyeful. And Im talking about women who have been in the church a long time and their daughters. Funny thing most unbelievers new to the church dress up and cover up because they remember stories of how the church used to be. Sad. And whats even most more sad is the fact that pastors are aware of the problem and choose not to address this. I have never once heard a sermon on modesty preached once in the church I attend. And I have been there a couple years.
Are the pastors afraid that they will lose people and that will weaken attendance? Probably. Because the large dynasty's that have been built take lots of money to run and God forbid offending someone.
I think this is a cowardly approach and its spread all over the churches not just the one I attend.
Anyway here is the link to a good article I found on Ingrids site.
Pray for the pastors as well that they would get some back bone.

Modesty is not for the women only guys.

I have just read what you wrote on modesty in the church after finding it on google.
I have recently talked to someone in leadership in my church in the uk about this very thing. Many women wear immodest chothes especially the teenagers. I have been going there for 18 months and have heard nothing taught about this. I am really fed up woth it but will wait to see what, if anything , is done and whether anyone takes any notice.
The trouble is what to do if nothing changes? Leave? We love the church but hate this immodesty.
Difficult situation, but the world is so much in the church now.
